Bonjour my friends! If you follow my social media accounts then you know that I am doing my very first juice cleanse. Its a new year and it is important that I hit the reset button for my body and give it a fresh start. I decide that a juice cleanse seems to be the best option for me. Like many people I did not know too much about juicing or what it does for the body so I thought "why not learn and share my new knowledge?" So that is exactly I am doing in the Q and A!
Q: Why juice?
A: 1. nutrient absorption happens at a faster rate because the gut does not have to digest fiber, resulting in nutrients being absorbed into the blood stream much quicker
2. The body can absorb a wider variety of veggies- Lets be honest how many different vegetable do we truly eat in a week maybe 2 or 3? With juicing you can get in a lot more than 2 or 3 maybe even 10 vegetable variations in a short span of time.
3. Juicing feeds good bacteria in the gut which in return helps with digestion.
Q: What are some more benefits of juicing?
A: Lowers cholesterol, better skin, better hair, detoxes the body, reduces the chances of getting cancer, helps lower blood sugar, enables the body to generate more energy
Q: How much juice should I drink a day while on a juice cleanse?
A: 4-6 servings of 16-20 ounces of juice. I like to use mason jars as they already have measurements on them and make it easy to store the juice.
Q: How long can I store fresh juice in the fridge without it going bad?
A: 24-48 hours 72 hours is the max
