Courageous

Courage. Say that word out loud to yourself right now. Does the word not feel strong rolling off of your lips? Being courageous is often times easier said than done but it is not impossible. Being courageous takes grit, strength and yes boldness. When I think of courage I think of my main man David in the Bible.

I want you to think about it. If you know the story of David’s life then you know that he had his mountain tops and his valleys but nonetheless he was always a man of courage. The biggest example of how having courage can change one’s life is when David decided to take Goliath completely out of the game. When he decided to trust God and be courageous he literally went from the fields to the palace.

When David decided to take on Goliath he referred to Goliath as an “uncircumcised Philistine” or in other words a nobody (1 Samuel 17:36). As the confrontation progressed, David repeated this phrase in different ways several times “who is that uncircumcised Philistine anyway that he can get away with insulting the army of the living God” (1 Samuel 17:26).

David was essentially saying “do you know who my father is? My God runs this so I suggest you back up!” He was not focusing on how much bigger Goliath was, he focused on God and His immeasurable power. You see when we keep our eyes on God (reading His word, taking Him at His word etc.) then we inevitably become courageous. We take on the truth that “If God is be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 KJV).

Whatever you need to confront or whatever your Goliath is remember you have the army of the living God backing you up so be courageous!

THE LOOK:

I have really been in to the bell sleeves lately so when I saw this top from Forever21 I could not pass it up. The floral print is perfect for spring and even summer and can be worn on into the fall season. Every girl needs a pair of go to high rise and low rise jeans, the ones you see above are my favorite low rise jeans from Abercrombie and Fitch. They are very comfortable and inexpensive. My shoes and bag are a nice camel color which in my opinion go with almost anything. To shop the look click the pics below.

With Love,

Taylor Danielle
