Have you ever had those days when you just feel down and are struggling to keep a good attitude and stay in faith? I recently had one of this days (or a few) and let me tell you, it is not fun. To be honest I didn't really know why I felt that way but I kept asking God to "lift my spirit" anyway. I was so busy that week and I just kept going and going!
When I to took time to read my Bible and I ran across Colossians 2:1 which says;
"I want you to realize that I continue to work as hard as I know how for you, and also for the Christians over at Laodicea. Not many of you have met me face-to-face, but that doesn’t make any difference. Know that I’m on your side, right alongside you. You’re not in this alone." After reading this I heard Him say "Have you been in My presence?"
I realized that I was trying to do life, fix my attitude, and do school all in my own strength and that I wasn't drawing from the power of God that He had already given to me. God promised to never leave me nor forsake me but it is up to me to lean on Him and rest in His presence. When I was feeling down God was right there the entire time but I didn't acknowledge His presence.
To draw from God's strength today get in His presence! If you like to write to Him do that. If you like to sing to Him do that (even if you're not the best singer). Dance for Him, read, paint, do whatever you have to do to stir up the presence of God in your day. I promise He is right there waiting for you to acknowledge Him and draw from His strength. When you spend time in God's presence, you recharge yourself for life and become closer to him in return.
Everything you could ever possibly need is there in His presence; An answer to a question, a resolution to a problem you may have, strength for the day, or just peace; its all there in the presence of God.
P.S. Don't let anything keep you from the presence of God; not a busy schedule, people or mistakes you may have made. God said in His Word "Come boldly before the thrown of grace." He WANTS YOU to be in His presence not matter what!
